Alasdair Hunter

Alasdair is a theatre director from Scotland.

His work has been seen across the UK and North America.

He studied theatre at the University of Glasgow and directing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Shakespeare’s Globe.

His practice is informed by Anne Bogart, Nadine George, Adrian Howells, Mike Alfreds, Lyndsey Turner and Robert Icke.

His professional life is enriched by membership of The Shakespeare Ensemble and the Shakespeare Theatre Association. 

Alasdair is a Connections Director for the National Theatre (London), and regularly teaches at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and other UK drama schools.

His early work was made under the Wilderness of Tigers label between 2007 and 2017.
